Servers, questions

Does KenjaPlayer work as a Jellyfin client on Apple TV?
Yes — KenjaPlayer runs on Apple TV (tvOS 18+) with Jellyfin, Plex, SMB, WebDAV and FTP support, plus on-device Whisper models for AI subtitles.
Do I need to expose my server to the internet?
No more than your current setup. KenjaPlayer connects exactly like any client you already use — on your LAN, or through the remote access (Tailscale, VPN, port forward) you already have. Nothing is proxied through us.
Will AI features hammer my server?
No — AI runs on your playback device, not on the server. Your Jellyfin or NAS just streams video as usual.
